Quick & Easy Cake Batter Icing Recipe – Ready in Under 10 Minutes!
I could absolutely whip up this quick and easy cake batter icing and eat it straight with a spoon. (I may or may not have done that last week!) If you’re the type to leave an extra tablespoon—or three—of batter just to sneak a taste, this frosting is for you.
This delicious cake batter icing comes together in less than ten minutes and couldn’t be easier. It’s the perfect topping for my One-Hour Funfetti Rolls, an indulgent mix-in for a milkshake, or a fun finishing touch on a boxed Funfetti cake mix—because let’s be honest, sometimes we just don’t have time to bake everything from scratch.
A quick frosting that tastes like cake batter? I’m over here poorly singing Lizzie McGuire’s This Is What Dreams Are Made Of as we speak. Let’s get to it!

minutesIngredients
2 c powdered sugar
1 – 2 t cake batter extract
2 – 4 T milk, add 1T at a time until desired consistency is reached
1 – 2 T rainbow sprinkles
4 oz cream cheese, softened
Directions
- Mix all ingredients in a stand mixer or with a hand mixer.
- Enjoy!
Notes
- This recipe has a moderately loose consistency. Double the cream cheese and cake batter ingredients for a sturdier icing. You can also incorporate more powdered sugar, but this will make it much sweeter.
